China has made progress in its space life science research as human embryonic stem cells aboard the Tiangong space station have differentiated into primitive hematopoietic stem cells. The research on human embryonic stem cells was conducted as part of a 6-to-15-day experiment on cell culture in a microgravity environment with the assistance of Chinese astronauts for the Shenzhou-15 mission.
